My Story

Hi, I’m Louise, an experienced, qualified, and insured pet carer based in the Digby area. I understand you want to know more about me before entrusting me with your beloved pets. So, here is a little about myself.

I have always been animal-mad, and as a family have always had at least one dog and cat to enjoy. When I moved into my own house it wasn’t a home until I rescued a silky, black cat named Jaguar. He provides me with hours of entertainment and is always there to offer his advice and comfort when I need a little boost.

When I was younger I lived in France on a smallholding filled with animals. I was lucky enough to share my life with cats, dogs, rabbits, chickens, sheep and pigs, and even had my own lambs. My experience with farm animals means I am experienced in caring for them and to know if there are any issues I need to deal with.

Between all the animals we had at home my favourite was my Shetland pony who was my fifth birthday present. The best present I’ve ever received. I have been riding horses my whole life and plan to keep riding far into the future. I have had a horse loan for the past three years which has enabled me to continue riding a variety of horses and ponies. So, I am confident and knowledgeable around the equine world. Horses are a favourite of mine!

I wanted to expand my experience to a wider range of animals, so volunteered at a local wildlife park. This was an exciting opportunity to learn about and work with different species like spiders, snakes, birds, reptiles, meerkats, marmosets, penguins, sloths, and even a tapir, to name but a few! So, my experience extends to cover both reptiles and tropical pets for those needing that extra level of pet care.

The services I offer include but are not limited to house and pet sitting, pet care, dog walking, and smallholding/yard duties. So, whether you need your dog walked, rabbits fed, tanks cleaned, or horse exercised, I am here to help.

My qualifications include a Diploma in Pet Sitting and Dog Walking and I am soon to be certified in Pet First Aid as I believe the safety of your pets is paramount. I am DBS checked and fully insured. I also plan to continue my education to ensure all the services I offer are of a professional standard.

If you have any specific inquiries not already mentioned, I would be happy to try and accommodate.

I hope to see you and your furry, (or scaley!) friends soon!
